Ho! Ho! Ho!

I must've been really good this year--Santa really hooked me up, lol! Pictured below is the majority of my "creative stash":

The sewing machine was a gift from my grandparents, the knitting paraphernalia from the man of the house and my fur-babies. My mom gave me cute sweater and blouse, and some cash too. My cousin (big sweetie) gave me a GC to Starbucks and my aunt & uncle gave me some cash to spend during the Stampin' Up! Sell-a-bration. WOOHOO! My sister gave me the 15th anniversary edition of the movie The Doors. Very cool packaging for a very cool movie. I am overwhelmed by it all, but very grateful for all I've received. I also talked to my uncle out in Cali and it was really great to hear his voice--I haven't seen him in so many years.

At this point, there's only about 30 minutes left of Christmas, so I'm relaxing with a glass of Sweet Pea apple wine (low alcohol content, and really cute bottle). The funny part is the movie Sideways is on tv, so I'm laughing at myself drinking along with a wine film!

Anyway, to anyone who might be reading this, I hope you had a wonderful holiday season filled with family, friends, and happiness. I wish you a great start to the new year. And although it may seem trite, for the world I truly pray for peace and the end of war.

Merry Christmas and to all a good night!

I need some sleep

I can't believe I've been gone from my blog so long! I have been extraordinarily busy making and selling handmade items for the holidays, not to mention trying to finish all my knitting. And no, I'm not done yet. However, I'm done with stamping for a little bit. Seriously burnt out--I have completed nearly fifty stamped items in the last couple of weeks. I am not even making Christmas cards this year. I feel guilty, but I just plain ran out of time. I'll probably just send some out for the new year and then again for the Asian new year. Here are my last two items for the season:

The one on the left is for a friend who was also a hostess for me recently and the other is one she ordered for her sister.

I am so ready for the day after Christmas. While others are out catching the great sales I will be sleeping! Now off to do a little knitting before crashing out.

Stop! In the Name of Nuts

I've been so busy! I finished an ATC swap, but I can't find my sample to photograph it. Today, I finished another knitted Christmas gift from one relative to another. I wish I could post it here, but the risk is too high that the recipient will see it. I did some holiday shopping this week after work yesterday. I also decorated a foam nutcracker for a contest at work. I didn't win, but I still had fun with my entry, Miss Diana Rosscracker. Here she is:

I painted her skin and mouth with acrylic paint dyed with SU re-inkers. I made her dress and her microphone. I painted her stage in glossy black and gold. I wanted to give her a lighted stage, but she would not be located near an outlet, so I decided against it. Her record hanging from the microphone has the same title of this post. Suddenly I'm craving cashews... but it's time for bed now, so maybe I'll buy some tomorrow.
